  • As for Year 2020:
    • Archan Toh Somdej Wat Rakang. For no broken condition, you might need to have a budget of more than 10 million Thai Baht. Even a broken and repaired piece will cost you at least 4 million Thai Baht and more.
    • Archan Toh Somdej Wat Bangkhumprom. For no broken condition, you might able to get it at 2-4 million Thai Baht or more. For broken and repaired piece will cost you around 400,000 Thai Baht or more.
    • Archan Toh Somdej Wat Ketchaiyo 7 Tiers. For no broken condition, the market price is similar to Wat Bangkhumprom which is 2-4 million Thai Baht or more. For broken and repaired piece will cost you at least 400,000 Thai baht or more. For your information, Archan Toh Somdej Wat Ketchaiyo 6 Tiers will be slightly cheaper.
    • Additional information, if the Somdej broken to more pieces then the price will be cheaper than the price I mentioned above.
    • There are some Somdej which people believe is blessed by Archan Toh but not from Wat Rakang, Wat Bangkhumprom or Wat Ketchaiyo, and these Somdej are not classified as Somdej Benjapakee, the price will be cheaper as well.

What is Thai Amulet Competition Certificate and Authentic Card

I’m going to share the basic information regarding Thai Amulet Competition Certificate and Authentic Card. For your information, currenly the most well-known Thai Amulet Association in Thailand is Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association, or better known as SamakomPhra. The Amulet Competition organized by SamakomPhra is highly recognized among Thai Amulet collectors within or outside Thailand.

Meanwhile for the Amulet Authentic Card, SamakomPhra issuing many Authentic Card in weekly basis following by other entities. I’m not going to discuss anything related to fake competition certificate or fake authentic card, because those discussion are endless and no point to look into it at all.

What is Thai Amulet Competition Certificate?

Recently SamakomPhra is organizing 3-4 competition every month. Normally each competition has 70-100 tables, and have around 3,000 list of different amulet categories. Each category is supervise by 3-4 professional judge. For your understanding, if he is the judge for Luang Phor Waen’s amulet category, he will not go to judge Luang Phor Koon’s amulet category, or vise-versa. This mainly because he is professional in Luang Phor Waen’s amulets only, but not the other amulet. Therefore there are hundres of judge invited in every single competition.

First of all, you need to purchase a ticket to submit your amulet into the competition. Once the amulet submitted to the table, the judge will verify your amulet. If that is a genuine piece, then your amulet will enter into the competition. Later on, the judge will compare each amulet one by one. Finally, the judge will choose the TOP 4 amulets and give the ranking from No1 to No4. These 4 amulets will receive a certifcate normally in 60 days.

What does it mean if your amulet able to get competition certificate? It means this is a genuine amulet and it has better condition compare with others. Thai Amulet collection is similar as antique collection. Thai Amulet with good condition will have a better market value and popularity. As an example during the begining of year 2020, Pidta Plodnee Luang Phor Toh Wat Praduchimplee BE2521-23, you might able to get it at 50,000 Thai Baht with gold casing if the condition is not nice. The price might reach 200,000 Thai Baht or even higher if that is a champion condition.

What is Thai Amulet Authentic Card?

What happen if you have an amulet with normal, broken or repaired condition? You know that the amulet will not able to get TOP 4 in any Thai Amulet Competition; What if the coming compeition venue is too far from your place and you not able to attend it? Or what if your amulet is not in the listing of the coming competition? So you may opt to issue an Authentic Card.

As I mentioned early, SamakomPhra issuing many Authentic Card in weekly basis. However, we truly understand they will not invite hundreds of professional judge to help people verify the amulet. If you are new in collecting and wearing Thai Amulet, perhaps one of the question you always curious is: Which Thai Amulet is good in wealth? I have been collecting Thai Amulet for more than 10 years. No doubt this is the TOP question whenever a Thai Amulet newbie come to ask me. I tried to guide them in a proper way, by sharing them more information about the monks. Unfortunately most of them has no patience to learn and they just want to have the fast answer.

How to choose a good Thai Amulet?

I tell the same answer to all my fellow friends. The main factor of a good Thai Amulet is depending on WHO made the blessing, and not the image or design of the Thai Amulet itself. For easy understanding, if the Thai Amulet is blessed by a monk who truly dedicated himself to the Buddha and himself had practice deep and hard, the Thai Amulet will have a good and strong energy which can improve the wearer magnetic field. You may ask: Why this Somdej is very expensive but that Somdej is much cheaper? They key factor is due to these two Somdej were blessed by different monk. So, you choose the monk then you will get the good Thai Amulet.

How to find a good monk and rent good Thai Amulet?

  • There is no shortcut to find a good monk. Thai Amulet newbie always complaining, there are too many monks around and we have limited information especially at oversea. My answer is simple:
    • First you have to be patience. Give yourself a break for few days, weeks or even months. Look around the people around you who collecting and wearing Thai Amulet. Ask their opinion about the MONK that they prefer, what make them like the MONK so much?
    • Then do your homework. If you cannot find any information online or offline, perhaps there is no faith between you and the MONK.
    • Until you find a MONK that you have faith on, then you start to learn what Thai Amulet he blessed before?
    • Finally, choose the Thai Amulet that you like. Do more survey and find a reliable source to rent that Thai Amulet.

Again, how to find a Thai Amulet that good in wealth?

Someone wear a Thai Amulet and won lottery. You saw the news and you get the same Thai Amulet to wear. Will you win lottery also? Most of the time, negative. The answers are simple: Different people has different needs. The guy need money but you might need career advancement. Different people has different fortune. The guy make many merits before and is time to pay off, but you seldom do good merits. Conclusion is, as long as you choose the good Monk, wear the good Thai Amulet and do good things, it will lead you to a better life. Or else you will see yourself turning around in the same circle.

Yet his amulet price is still very cheap at this moment.

Some new amulet, Thais keep for their own collection. It is difficult to order through overseas.

Some new amulet, Thais don’t keep it at all. They sell all to overseas.

Local Thais have first-hand information in Thailand. Who is making the amulet? Which batch of amulet worth for collection? Which batch of amulet is made for commercial purpose? Local Thais know it clearly.

Some people have good reputation, they donated most of the amulet to the temple, they intended to help the monk and temple wholeheartedly.

Some people said that they are making 1,000 pieces in their brochure, but they made extra 500 pieces secretly. They donated small portion of the amulet to temple. Some people purposely go to find those monk who have never make amulet before, because they want to make the FIRST BATCH amulet for the monk. If the monk has already made monk image amulet before, they will help the monk to made Pidta amulet, or even phayant. as long as that is FIRST BATCH! FIRST BATCH! FIRST BATCH! ! !

Local Thais always said, Good amulet should have 3 good: Good Monk, Good Blessing Ceremony, Good Intention! Local Thais will not keep those amulet made for commercial purpose or personal benefit.

第一期邮票型泽度金，瓦玛哈塔佛寺，佛历2530的铜材质版本，一般有分前面有符文的，以及没有符文的。当然以没有符文的价格相对便宜。
另外，有符文的版本，基本上还细分三种模：
第一种，Blok Tamada，普通模。请注意佛牌后面，拉胡和拉胡之间大概1点钟的位置。可参考以下图片，注意青色框里头。

第二种，Blok Chor，流行模。请注意佛牌后面，拉胡和拉胡之间大概1点钟的位置。可参考以下图片，注意青色框里头。

第三种，Blok Heng，最流行模。请注意佛牌后面，拉胡和拉胡之间大概1点钟的位置。可参考以下图片，注意青色框里头。

当中的价格，以第一种Blok Tamada相对最便宜，而第三种Blok Heng相对最高。所以佛友们，千万不要傻傻分不清，共勉之。
